Coco Rocha has taken over sass & bide’s online world and it has been a pleasure to be a part of it by contributing countless images of the latest Love Shady collection thru social media all leading to reveal of the labels latest muse, supermodel Coco Rocha.

Coco posted new looks daily – styled & shot on the move – using only a handheld camera and her natural surroundings. With all the content posted on sass & bide’s social media channels, with a live feed through to sassandbide.com as well as through fashion bloggers like myself…the takeover began.

From January 23, sass & bide counted down to Coco’s takeover with a ‘teaser’ campaign shot in London by photographer Angelo Pennetta and styled by Victoria Young. The images slowly revealed Coco’s identity over a five-day period.

During the takeover  that kicked off on January 28,  Coco  was featured in candid, raw and energetic shots self-styled in the sass & bide SS13 collection ‘loveshady’ giving a sneak peek into the daily activities & musings of a supermodel ‘off-duty’.

It certainly had me and many others wanting more – not to mention lusting for Sass & Bide’s latest collection.

Myer Ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins, Rebecca Judd and Kris Smith took to the catwalk on Thursday when the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) and Myer launched the 50 Years of Fashions on the Field celebrations with an exclusive event at Myer Mural Hall.

Hosted by Channel Seven’s Jennifer Keyte, guests heard from past winners Jeannine-Renee Pascale (Myer Fashions on the Field multiple title winner between 1987-1996) and Elizabeth Gaunt (2003 Myer Fashions on the Field winner).

The festivities continued with a stunning Myer fashion parade showcasing this season’s key racewear

fashion and millinery from Australian’s leading designers. The parade also featured a stylish nod to trends from the past five decades.

Celebrities donning their finest racewear were joined by Myer designers Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton, Yeojin Bae, Dom Bagnato and Teresa Liano and top milliners Phillip Rhodes, Kim Fletcher and Richard Nylon.

I was privileged enough to attend the Myer Spring Summer 2013 Collections on Thursday night in Sydney where Myer Ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins and Kris Smith launched a spectacular parade that showcased over 170 new season looks by Myer’s leading stable of Australian designers (and some of my personal favourites).

The launch played out in an intimate circular catwalk - a suspended abstract landscape constructed from thousands of individual rope lengths that hovered high above the audience transforming the space and creating our journey to South Africa - the home of Myer’s advertising campaign for the season.

Jennifer Hawkins made a stunning entrance in Toni Maticevski to open the show, flanked by models wearing custom made designs created by Myer’s talented designers. Jayson Brunsdon, Fleur Wood, Ellery, Aurelio Costarella, sass & bide and Manning Cartell proceeded to follow and had me lusting for more.

Jennifer took to the catwalk wearing gorgeous designs from Ellery, Manning Cartell, her swimwear label Cozi and Aurelio Costarella.

Kris Smith showcased leading Myer menswear brands Arthur Galan AG, Dom Bagnato, Blaq and renowned Australian swimwear label Speedo, new to Myer this season.

Closing the show was Jen in a breathtaking Aurelio Costarella gown.

Lucky for me, Myer’s leading designers, including Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton, Kym Ellery, Karen Walker, Magdalena Velevska, Arthur Galan, Yeojin Bae, Jayson Brunsdon, Aurelio Costarella, Nicola Finetti, Leona Edmiston and Wayne Cooper were all in attendance and lucky for me, within arms reach.

An after party on the catwalk followed the event where the fun and fabulous people (or rather fashion) watching really began.

A maxi dress is definitely not everyone’s fashion fave because most of us believe we need to be of a certain height to “pull it off”. Not true. In fact, with the right heel, length and cut, a maxi dress can make you look longer and leaner.

One of my ’must have’ looks this season is Sass & Bide’s Any Given Friday dress. Stunning white silk with intricate beading and nude mesh detailing, classy yet sexy (two splits up the side of each leg, will certainly have you shutting down any room).

Definitely a dress if you’re looking to change it up and make a statement. And if you’re still on the see-saw of long vs.short - this one will meet you right in the middle! Got to have.

A girl can never have enough statement jewellery and with winter in full flight, I think this will definitely style up my coat!
