Front Row. MYER Spring/Summer 2013 Launch

I was privileged enough to attend the Myer Spring Summer 2013 Collections on Thursday night in Sydney where Myer Ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins and Kris Smith launched a spectacular parade that showcased over 170 new season looks by Myer’s leading stable of Australian designers (and some of my personal favourites).

The launch played out in an intimate circular catwalk - a suspended abstract landscape constructed from thousands of individual rope lengths that hovered high above the audience transforming the space and creating our journey to South Africa - the home of Myer’s advertising campaign for the season.

Jennifer Hawkins made a stunning entrance in Toni Maticevski to open the show, flanked by models wearing custom made designs created by Myer’s talented designers. Jayson Brunsdon, Fleur Wood, Ellery, Aurelio Costarella, sass & bide and Manning Cartell proceeded to follow and had me lusting for more.

Jennifer took to the catwalk wearing gorgeous designs from Ellery, Manning Cartell, her swimwear label Cozi and Aurelio Costarella.

Kris Smith showcased leading Myer menswear brands Arthur Galan AG, Dom Bagnato, Blaq and renowned Australian swimwear label Speedo, new to Myer this season.

Closing the show was Jen in a breathtaking Aurelio Costarella gown.

Lucky for me, Myer’s leading designers, including Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton, Kym Ellery, Karen Walker, Magdalena Velevska, Arthur Galan, Yeojin Bae, Jayson Brunsdon, Aurelio Costarella, Nicola Finetti, Leona Edmiston and Wayne Cooper were all in attendance and lucky for me, within arms reach.

An after party on the catwalk followed the event where the fun and fabulous people (or rather fashion) watching really began.

Visit Myer online or visit your nearest store to treat your wardrobe this Spring/Summer, I certainly will be.

Big thanks to the team at Myer for having me.

MYER Spring/Summer 2012-13. OUT OF AFRICA

Myer’s Spring Summer campaign takes us on an adventure to the land of light and colour with warm sunsets, vibrant and exotic animals and a culture rich in pattern and print that support the dominant theme of colour this Spring Summer 2012/13 season.

Where did Myer Ambassadors Jennifer Hawkins, Jessica Hart and Kris Smith transport to, to accomplish such a task? Epic South Africa.

Myer has delivered a multiude of must haves for the season with the campaign showcasing some of my favourite Australian designers. My personal wardrobe crushes include; Ellery’s pastel geometric mini dress, sass & bide’s galactic silver mini dress and Magdalena Velevska’s citrus neon circle dress- to name but a few.

Download the full catalogue and shop the new collection online now

MYER is OFFICIALLY having a moment - don’t miss it.

My Style. Ellery, Nicholas & Peeptoe

In preparation for one of my besties birthday celebrations, I was quick to talk myself into making a new purchase. So, off to Green With Envy (GWE) in Flinders Lane I went.

After some debate, as I was definitely spoilt for choice, I settled on this bold and bright Ellery Tapioca Window dress

With the help of GWE’s lovely Sales Assistant Bec and taking into account, the “not so incredible" weather we are experiencing, my wallet, accidently opened further and purchased the Niki Nicholas boot.

By now, I thought to myself…I need accessories. Luckily Peeptoe in Little Collins St is just a hop and a skip away. Once there, I purchased the Woven Chain and Jewel necklace in turquoise and Lady Mesmerize clutch in magenta.

Hope you like… I had a fabulous night
